An expedition to a 7,000’s is definitely something you should not take lightly. Climbing the Nun is an extreme physical and technical challenge, related to altitude, terrain and extreme temperatures. Requirements for participation are above-average fitness and sportiness. Each participant must train in advance to prepare themselves optimally and should in any case have already participated in expeditions to one or more 6,000er peaks (with glacier). The handling of ice axe, rope clamps (ascendar / descendar) and walking with crampons should be no problem at all.
Teamwork, flexibility and strong mental discipline should be a matter of course and form the basis for a successful expedition. During the expedition we spend more than 10 days at over 5,000m. Extreme conditions, such as icy storms and bad weather require patience and should always be taken into account.
Mutual recognition, respect, helpfulness and camaraderie are also things you should bring with you. Respect for the tour leader as well as the members of the team are mandatory.
